Today, the general population has become short sighted. We have an internal struggle that stems from a slow build to a generation of selfishness and with technology has become accustomed to immediate gratification. It’s our new war. ❤️‍🩹

Short term goals vs long rang vision. A culture rooted in immediate gratification vs a culture with a commitment to a heinous mission. May God watch over us. ❤️‍🩹

I would not call American culture "rooted in immediate gratification," so much as a culture of naive, foolish individualists. The USA citizenry has not had a war on US soil for over 150 years and they have forgotten what real trouble is. Israelis have suffered so many losses that the culture is rooted in togetherness, family, and (even among many/most "secular" Jews who live in Israel) a loving God.
